Chassis:
Painted yellow and entrusted to Ecurie Francorchamps, this is the first of a pair of 412 Ps built by Ferrari ahead of the 1967 season. It was raced three times by the Belgian team in 1967, with a second overall and first in class at the Paris 1000 km as the best result. Following four further outings in minor events during the 1968 season, the car was sold to Dean Martin Jr. Among the subsequent owners were noted collectors and historic racers Paul Pappalardo and Lawrence Stroll. At one point, the car was painted red but it was later re-finished in its original yellow again. The current, American owner acquired chassis 0850 back in 2004. During the mid-2010s, the car was restored from the ground up by Ferrari Classiche. The work was ready in time for the 2017 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance where Ferrari's 70th anniversary was celebrated. Chassis 0850 completed the Tour d'Elegance and placed second in class.
