Chassis: DN4-1A
One of the Shadow DN4s used during the 1974 Can-Am Championship, this chassis was used primarily by Jackie Oliver in his title winning effort. It was driven to victory at Mosport, Watkins Glen, Atlanta and Mid-Ohio. In the season finale at Road America, Oliver was forced to retire with engine problems. The car was subsequently used in F5000 demonstration events. It was damaged during shipment and retained by Don Nichols until 2014. It then joined a formidable collection of Shadow competition cars and was comprehensively restored. The Can-Am winning Shadow was raced for the first time since the 1970s at the 2016 Monterey Motorsports Reunion.
