Chassis:
Sold through William Doheny in Beverly Hills, this 750 Monza was delivered new to American racer Ernie McAfee. He raced the car successfully in local events on the West Coast. Raced through to the early 1960s by subsequent owners, it eventually had the original four-cylinder replaced by an American V8 that was cheaper and easier to service. During the 1970s, the car and original engine were reunited but the car was not restored until the early 1990s. Since then, it has been owned by American, Japanese and German collectors but it has finally returned home to Italian hands in the mid 2010s.
