Chassis:
One of seven 640 F1s built, this chassis was allocated to Gerhard Berger for five Grands Prix. He debuted chassis 110 at the Mexican Grand Prix where he retired with a gearbox issue. Reliability issues subsequently also thwarted Berger’s run in the American, Canadian and British Grands Prix. He also failed to finish the German Grand Prix due to a puncture. Retired from active duty after five appearances, it was subsequently on static display for many years. During the early 2010s, it was restored to full order by Ferrari F1 Clienti and also Ferrari Classiche certified. Now in German hands, it has been regularly demonstrated at events like the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
