Finished in white ivory with a turquoise interior, this 250 GT Cabriolet was sold new to Enzo Paoli Tacchini of Lodi, Italy. He would own the car for two years and it was then sold to an enthusiast in nearby Milan. It was then sold to France where one of the subsequent damaged the original engine, which was replaced by V12 from a 250 GT Tour de France. During the early 1990s, it was sold to the United States, where it remained until 2007. It was then acquired by French collector and broker Jean Guikas. He had the car re-painted black and re-trimmed with the original turquoise upholstery. At some point, the original engine was also reunited with the car. Sold at auction in 2021, it was re-finished again, now to its original white ivory. Now boasting its matching numbers engine and gearbox, it was consigned as one of the headliners of the 2024 RM Sotheby’s Monaco sale.
