top pro top tip right there
Miss these competitions, by the way. I think I have improved over these years a bit, at least I like to think so :P
:-) always enjoyed these as well. wish i took more time to do photography... ive got vacation coming up in a week and have already planned a few photo outings nearby :-)
I can't remember last time I visited some automotive event without my camera. Sometimes with the lens I've got (105 maximum) it becomes a bit useless on circuits, but I still try to take lots of shots trackside :D
well, if you started up the comps again i'm game for the near future. and beyond that if work permits me. we would need a few more competitors to make it fun though.
Not sure I would be able to keep the constant schedule with these comps, sadly. On the other hand, might give it a try, if nobody else would like to do that (which would be better for me, to be honest :p ). Also, there is a reason for bringing them back only if there is enough interest from possible entrants.
If frequency is the issue, just make them twice a month, 1-15 16-30. Easy enough, would allow more entries and easier for the ones arranging the threads.
That's a good idea, I think. Or maybe once in two weeks to make it more evenly spread on a calendar. That way I will probably be able to make it right and keep the rounds coming. Shot of the month initiative might be scrapped then as it would become choosing between the two pictures only.
That way, should we keep the rule that the pictures should be no more than four months old when they are posted into the competition? Given that the competition might be twice less frequent.
I'll try to update the current photo comp threads ASAP, stay in touch.
