Do want.
When will Porsche put the facelift of the road 911s on the RSRs?
that CF intake manifold thing...do want
looks very squat from the back.

Dunno, possibly never. Maybe this front fascia is better?
I want to see the face-lifted GT3 road car.
What is the second R for? I think RS = Renn Sport.
I think the second "R" is for racer.
Kinda redundant like Jag's XKR-R.

Babelfish tell me Rennsport means racing auf Deutsch. So I dunno what the R means - maybe you are right and it is redundant.
I'm somewhat certain that RSR actually does mean Rennsport Rennen/Racing. Redundant, yes, but probably meant more as RS Rennen/RAcing. Just like RST is RS Touren/Touring.
Okay, I'm confused.
Well GT2 competition is getting tougher...
The second R means it is definitely not street legal. :D
Wait, why has displacement gone up, but torque is the same and power went down? I could see dropping the power but getting more torque or at a lower RPM, but this doesn't really make sense. Regulation changes?

I'm guessing that it's restrictor based.
Engine:
Water-cooled, six-cylinder boxer engine; four valves
per cylinder; dry sump lubrication; individual throttle
butterflies; fuel injection; air restrictors 2 x 29.5 mm.
Methinks these are the culprits.

Restrictors and probably reliability.
Remember they rev the hell out of those RSR engines :p
And the introduction of a 4.0L flat-6 points to the new LMP2 regulations ;)

A 4L flat-6 would have to be in some sort of - I think it's called - subframe as it isn't well suited to being stressed to the best of my knowledge. Aren't the new LMP1 regs gonna be for 4L engines?

Are the engines gonna be frozen at 4.0L for a while? If the size regs/restrictors are relaxed Porsche might need to throw a few more cylinders on the car. I can't imagine a modern racing-6 being more than 4.5L.
