Thats actullay what happend. Not many people knoe that most german words with an e on the end of it are actullay pronounced uh. So i do say Porsch-uh.
If you want to nitpick, it's more of an "eh" sound, but it's mostly right. :p
Not only that, but it's also someone's proper name. Saying Poorsh is like calling someone with "Johnson" as their last name "Mr. Jah-ha-n-sone"
Well he wanted to show off... ;)
I don't mean to start any thing but I stated that I didn't want to brag or show off. But still I don't mind how hard the questions are.
I do beleive that the current 911 Turbo is faster than the 911 GT1 in the quarter mile. I'm not sure why.
I got that info off of Road & Track.

Porsche fans really have to stop crying over the pronunciation of a 7 letter word. Again, you say tomato..

I think because the turbo is all wheel drive it gets more grip and a better start. The GT1 is rear wheel so it dosn't get as much grip so it has a worse start up. It would be interesting to see them head-head.

i say porches
February 2007 Road and Track Top 3 Porsches listed:
#1. 911 GT1
10.9 @ 224.5 km/h
#2. Carrera GT
11.3 @ 211.8
#3. 997 911
11.6 @ 190.4
Below that is the 996 911 GT2, and then the 997 Carrera S as the 997 911 GT3 or GT3 RS are not listed but according to C+D faster than the Carrera S.
Again, you say tomato..
Bah that arguement sucks. It's a last name. There is only one way to say it.
What year did porsche first compete in LeMans and who was the driver/driver's.

The year was 1951 and the car was a 356 Light Alloy Coupe. Its distinctive features are the panels beside the wheels.
How many washers are there in a 1983 Porsche 911 SC?
it has been found that almost all of the washers of the 911 are outside the car. They help to clean the outside....
how super duper awesome are GT3's?
Why is the Porsche magazine named the way it is?
