We are either going to have a big heavy GT or a heavy 4 seater sports GT, that's cool.
What if, there were two power sources?
An electric system to support he car at chug-about-town speeds and...
6 Batmans / Goku
For one of the more underrated of all Kebab fillings.
I thought as much, but I haven't had any formal training yet so I was hoping to glean some free learning from this little exercise ;)
What programs will you be using? I'll try to get ahold of them.
I can go engine, that's about the only thing I have relevant tools to work on (Engine analyzer pro) I guess I could get others if other want something different.
Front-Mid RWD....didn't see a front-mid option though.
Something like the Maybach Exelero....huuuuuuuuuuuuge bonnet, neo goth looks, enormous engine....
Infact...we should just steal the...
Technically, I'm enrolled in engineering although last year I was able to complete dual honors in alcohology and bimbology.
Since I'm taking Eng. seriously this year I'll be a part of this, until I...
Ok, new developments have meant a change of plans for the project.
1) I'm getting out of AWB while the getting is good, dumping shares = another $10k towards shiny pretty stuff.
2) I no longer...

...For a car that looks to be driving extremely fast on chocolate, which is undoubtabley one of the conditions Quattro engineers foresaw.
I hate you to the bone.
I think you shouldn't worry about it until you get your big boy hair.
Good job, pity you couldn't remove the pillars from between the doors. That would have made the look all the more unique.

I thought it was 1000kg, but the Mazda was running about 830kg. Although, I am by no means a Le Mans historic rulebook buff.
Yeah but if they made it heavier to be fair with the power/weight thing it would still have sucked with the fuel efficiency and the would have canned it anyway.
From the OP mate:
I'm switching to auto engineering so I want to be working on a lot of it myself, but I will have help of course. It's not going to be some HiPo machine or heavily stressed.
Are you serious? that is practically the only well renowned fact about the car.
think it was successful because it was allowed to run light
All 2.5L had a lot more bhp than that, even the 318iS had more than that. Can yo ufind a link to the car/engine you are thinking of?
Duly noted, thanks. It seems an engine swap into a host body...
Interesting, that was the 2.7L motor right? From what I've read it was built for economy and torque but was redlined at <5000. It might be torquier but I haven't read anywhere that claims more power....
I'm looking at getting a pet project going and looking for people who've been there or have some advice for car potential.
At this stage I'm pretty sold on a E30 (early 3 series BMW) in a 2 door...
I'm staying with my mate in Melbourne and a few days ago injured his knee (a idiot story in itself), it's not bad but he is uncomfortable driving (a stick shifting lancer 1.8L) so I've got the pilot...
WTF is a central motor? :P
