The article about the 4 cars will be in Zoom next month, got some scans through today, so have a look for it.

Ive been working on my bus today getting it ready for the weekend. Installed new mastercylinder, brakes pads, bias adjuster and made a new actuation rod for the bigger master, hopefully the new pads/m/c will have the brakes working right Jeez my back is sore. Tommorrow is pick the muffler up from welders.. tried welding mild steel to a R1 titanium muffler myself with a mig = fail . The guy has put a new flange on for me but it was expensive $80, but it keeps coming lose so the new flange mount should fix it hopefully. Have to fit the front splitter after destroying the other one. Wash it and load it, having a practice day friday to bed the brakes and hope they work and soften up the rear for better powerdown and turn in.

You NEED to get some vid up on youtube or somewhere mate! Yeh mild steel to titanium, youll need a TIG for that one and theyre not cheap unfortunately

Had a reasonable meet today, Qualifying: bedded brakes in for 6 laps in qualifying, I qualified with a slow 1.27.5. The brakes are working great now, no fade and plenty of bite I highly reccomend the HAWK dtc-60s. My brother went off in qualifying when his tie rod broke, he went off but only killed his splitter thankfully

Race 1 (20 mins) : The heavens opened just before we formed up and I was nervous I have practised on a wet track but never raced. Took it really easy and just played with brakes etc. I noticed smoke coming out the car coming out turn 4 a hard R/H and it was getting worse. When I got back to the pits I saw the rear seal on the G/Box was leaking. I was 2.4 secs quicker than the brother so I was happy.

Race 2 ( 20 mins) : I started badly and missed the start again, Clint was driving Craigs car to see what it could do. He showed me how much harder I can push on the 1st lap. My driving was erratic in the last race but got a few good laps in. My g/box leak was getting worse and it was only a matter of time before I was black flagged. Clint broke the diff in Craigs car on lap 6 so I was circulating by myself at the rear and actually got a few good laps in beofr the black flag came out. I bettered my PB by 6 tenths of a sec so Im happy with that. The brakes are great now with nice balance, no fade and a consistent pedal. The car went on the trailer undamaged and the new g/box seal is a whole $8. The next race meet is in a month and I rekon a 1.25 is going to happen

shitty video, finally got a firewire cable that works, its on Youtube. As you will see if soft through the esses and soft on the brakes everywhere, there is a good 2 secs a lap there I rekon.

here another vid of a Audi RS4 doing hot laps round Mallala, the lap times are amazingly close with the rolla.... both around the 1.25 mark to do a lap, the audi is driven by one of audis high performance driving instructors though, not some fat guy with a mid life crisis

Round 3 of the State Championship

Good racing today the nephews co entered with us as they wanted a steer and can drive a lot harder than us, there used to 200hp more and laptimes in the 1.16 round Mallala

Race results today, the nephews drove our cars the KE20 IP #77and KE25 IP #25 and got down into the low 23s in the race . Clint now has the EM u1600 record for Mallala for IP, Rob got Craigs KE20 into the 23s also. All it shows is they can drive and we cant. I finally cracked a 25 today a 1.25.4 and Craig got down to a 1.26 flat. Hopefully a 1.24 tommorrow. We both knocked 8/10ths of our previous PB

Cars are still running so all is good, have a 10 and 16 lap race tommorrow
