You were both close. But Waterfall was the closest. So he won... close call however. Sorry Kitdy!

Is this like the "jar of pennies"; the right answer wins a thousand or so Porsches?

Will do. I know alot about the 60s, 70s and 80s racers so I'll probably answer most of them.

I do beleive that the current 911 Turbo is faster than the 911 GT1 in the quarter mile. I'm not sure why.

I got that info off of Road & Track.

I think because the turbo is all wheel drive it gets more grip and a better start. The GT1 is rear wheel so it dosn't get as much grip so it has a worse start up. It would be interesting to see them head-head.

February 2007 Road and Track Top 3 Porsches listed:

    #1. 911 GT1

    10.9 @ 224.5 km/h

    #2. Carrera GT

    11.3 @ 211.8

    #3. 997 911

    11.6 @ 190.4

Below that is the 996 911 GT2, and then the 997 Carrera S as the 997 911 GT3 or GT3 RS are not listed but according to C+D faster than the Carrera S.
