That has happened to me a couple times before. The way it fixes for me is to put the key in, then turn the steering wheel with a decent amount of pressure either way (i know it doesnt turn, but imagine it did) on the steering wheel either way and try twisting the key, it takes a fair amount of force but try not to break anything. Hope this works for ya!

haha no problem, it happens when you move the steering wheel too much when the car is off. First time it happened I had a shit-fit because I thought my mom's car needed towing.

I always thought it was because the steering wheel wasn't 'locked'. Or something. It happened to me too anyway

Another thing you can do in this situation is put a flathead screwdriver alongside the key when it is inserted and turn the screwdriver. If it keeps this up its probably the tumbler.

Same here a few times. Just twist the wheel a little bit either way and turn the key with some force. It is better than one of my work's vans, it has to be started by shorting the wires Someone broke the key in it..
