anyone know of a book or paper that may have aero data for 1.5 liter and 3 liter F1 cars of the 60's?
I am interested in the data for pre aero F1 cars.
Seems to me that mechanical grip, horsepower, and driving skills were much
more important then.

The closest thing(and thats not very close) is the sports car like GT40 from the 60s. And they develop quite a bit of lift. The F1 car might be better in that respect just because they don't have that much bodywork on top of them....
