wow! i want to see one of those, i read about this car in a very old sports car book from the 1960s. i think the Cobra gets its looks from its fathers side of the family

Thanks for the pics, the Ace is one of the all time British greats, although the Bristol engine (nice exhausts) is based on the BMW 328 engine.
Actually this car is fitted with the original AC engine (also 2 litre inline 6) and not the Bristol engine.

And you are absolutely right, the car in the 2004 has the original Weller engine.
