    Hatchbacks ?

Do insurance companies consider hatchbacks a sportscar ?
Reason I ask this is because my friends dad had a 2000 Mitsubish Eclipse which had a hatchback and was paying very little for insurance on it and told me that insurance companies don't consider hatchbacks a sportscar - Is this true ?

prolly the old (read: actually good performing) model

as far as i know, the eclipse is usually classified as one because there are some pretty fast variants, and it was built with a sporty attitude. every hatch will be different though.
An it harm none, do as ye will

If u look at it like this... every eclipse is a hatchback, only its rear's very low.

I personally don't believe this, just an idea
