Four fabulous Ferraris consigned to Gooding Amelia Island Auctions ...

For the upcoming Amelia Island Auctions, Gooding & Co. have consigned a fabulous selection of Ferraris. Leading the way is this 500 Mondial Pinin Farina Spyder, which is one of very few retaining its original chassis, engine, transaxle and body. It was originally raced in the Low Countries and has since been owned by several prominent collectors. Chassis 0434MD has a pre-sale estimate of $4 - $5 million.
Also consigned is this fabulously preserved 275 GTB/4, which was first owned by Jo Siffert and is now offered from a single ownership of 50 years. Afters spending its early life in Switzerland, it moved across the Atlantic and was acquired by the current custodian in 1974. Apart from a re-paint, 09689 is still very original and accordingly has a $3 - $3.5 million estimate.
Boasting very long single ownership and in highly original condition as well is this 250 GT Ellena Coupe. It was acquired in the mid-1960s by an enthusiast who ran into engine troubles. He had taken on the job of rebuilding the engine himself but never completed the task. Still needing an engine rebuild, 0837GT sat in storage for decades and is now looking for a new owner for $600,000 - $800,000.
Another beautifully preserved Ferrari due to cross the block later this month is this 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spider, which was finished in a unique shade of metallic green for its original owner, racing driver Buck Fulp.
